Lab Operations Associate

About the role

Adaptyv is building an automated laboratory where AI agents design and analyse biology experiments. As a Lab Operations Associate in Lausanne you will keep the physical lab running smoothly, ensuring inventory, ordering and shipping processes support the scientists’ work.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unpack and store deliveries in the correct freezers, updating the inventory system accordingly.
• Monitor stock levels, flag low‑stock items early and place timely purchase orders.
• Track orders, follow up on delayed or incorrect shipments, and resolve issues with vendors.
• Manage inbound and outbound shipping, including cold‑chain logistics, dry‑ice handling, customs paperwork and courier coordination.
• Provide hands‑on support to the science team, e.g., reagent reconstitution and equipment troubleshooting.
• Maintain service contracts and ensure all lab instruments are operational and compliant.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and proactive with strong organisational abilities.
• Comfortable working hands‑on in a laboratory environment.
• Effective communicator with both scientists and external suppliers.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑growing, early‑stage biotech setting.
• Eagerness to take ownership and solve problems rather than just report them.
