Laboratory Technician – Aquatic Ecotoxicology (Full-time)

About the role

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join the Aquatic Ecotoxicology team at Eurofins. The role involves conducting GLP‑compliant tests on fish species using static, semi‑static and flow‑through systems to support regulatory safety assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, maintain and run OECD‑standard static, semi‑static and flow‑through tests with various fish species.
• Perform biochemical assays, primarily Enzyme Immunoassays (EIA), and handle sample collection (blood, organs, eggs).
• Calibrate equipment, draft and revise SOPs, and ensure laboratory maintenance and compliance.
• Prepare chemical solutions, conduct analytical quantification of biological and physicochemical parameters, and process data using specialised software.
• Document and report biological and analytical progress accurately and within project timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or a related scientific field.
• Valid animal work licence (LTK1 or LTK2).
• Minimum two years of experience in a GLP‑regulated environment, preferably with fish handling, aquaria maintenance and OECD testing.
• Fluent English; German and French are a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously following detailed SOPs.
