Laboratory Technician I - QC (Environmental Monitoring & Microbiology)

About the role

In this position you will join the Environmental Monitoring and Microbiology teams at Eurofins, performing routine QC activities in classified manufacturing areas and supporting investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine environmental monitoring activities, including air, surface, and personnel sampling in classified manufacturing areas.
• Conduct microbiological testing such as bioburden, endotoxin, BacT, and plate reading.
• Review test results, identify atypical findings and support investigations.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of GMP documentation and laboratory records.
• Support equipment readiness, calibration activities, and routine laboratory operations.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Manufacturing teams to ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Apprenticeship (EFZ) as Laboratory Technician in Biology, Chemistry or Microbiology, or a BSc in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Ideally two years of professional experience in a GMP environment.
• Familiarity with sample collection within controlled environments.
• Experience in consumables and laboratory material management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
