Laboratory Technician – Lab Operations

About the role

Adaptyv is building an automated lab that lets AI agents run biology experiments. As a Laboratory Technician you will ensure the day‑to‑day upkeep of our automation, instruments, buffers and reagents so that scientists can run high‑throughput experiments without interruption.

Key responsibilities

• Run daily and weekly calibration of Hamilton liquid handling systems and maintain Echo, pH meters and SPR instruments.
• Prepare buffers, reagents and reaction mixes according to SOPs and manage weekly buffer production.
• Keep automated workcells clean, organized and calibrated; manage inventory, fridge organization and consumables stock.
• Handle hazardous and bio‑hazardous waste disposal, run the lab dishwasher and schedule deep‑clean and preventive maintenance.
• Lead rollout of new inventory‑management and lab‑operations processes across the lab.

Required profile

• Laboratory apprenticeship (CFC Laborant/in), BSc in a relevant field, or equivalent lab‑technician qualification.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a service mindset.
• Calm and reliable in a fast‑paced, high‑throughput environment.
• Comfortable with routine work and looking for ways to improve it.

Required skills

• Experience with lab automation or liquid‑handling systems (e.g., Hamilton, Echo).
• Familiarity with inventory or LIMS tools.
• Proficiency in English; French is a plus.
