Lead Project Engineer – Turbomachinery & Propulsion

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Project Engineer to drive complex R&D and New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes in turbomachinery and propulsion. Based in Baden, Switzerland, you will own the full product development lifecycle, from concept through validation to industrialisation, ensuring strategic alignment and disciplined execution.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the overall R&D/NPI programme plan, aligning scope, milestones and deliverables with business and technology strategy.
• Translate product and technology roadmaps into executable programmes with clear phase‑gates and success criteria.
• Lead cross‑functional teams across R&D, engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, regulatory and product management.
• Establish and enforce common processes, templates and governance, acting as the primary escalation point for programme‑level issues.
• Build and maintain integrated schedules, manage inter‑project dependencies, monitor risks and drive corrective actions.
• Set up programme governance cadence, identify technical and operational risks and prepare fact‑based decision material for leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multi‑disciplinary R&D or NPI programmes in a high‑technology environment.
• Strong ability to align multiple projects towards integrated outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Track record of delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
