Learning Designer – AI‑Enhanced Pedagogical Architect

About the role

GESDA is seeking an exceptional Learning Designer to create high‑quality knowledge and learning products that translate emerging science into actionable insights for diplomats, policymakers, scientists, business leaders and citizens worldwide. You will shape the pedagogical infrastructure that powers GESDA’s anticipatory leadership programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document modular curriculum components (in‑person, online, hybrid) aligned with GESDA’s Science Breakthrough Radar and training framework.
• Translate experiential methodologies such as backcasting, scenario development, serious games, and anticipatory leadership labs into reproducible training modules with clear objectives, assessments and facilitation guides.
• Create progression pathways from foundational to advanced learning, adaptable for diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with strategic partners on joint curriculum design and delivery.
• Develop core versus adaptable content frameworks to enable regional and sectoral customization while maintaining quality standards.
• Support train‑the‑trainer programmes, develop facilitator handbooks, certification curricula, assessment criteria and observation protocols.
• Build a facilitator resource library including session plans, videos and facilitation tips.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in learning design and curriculum architecture.
• Experience with experiential learning methods and generative AI tools.
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary audiences including diplomats, policymakers, scientists and business leaders.
• Strong collaborative skills for joint design with partners and facilitators.
