Legal Counsel – Data Privacy (Pharma, Basel) – 5‑month contract

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel specialized in Data Privacy to support a leading life‑sciences client in Basel. The role bridges commercial operations, procurement, manufacturing and strategic business support, working closely with international stakeholders and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and execute Data Protection matters in Switzerland in line with FADP requirements.
• Serve as the primary contact for local Data Protection queries and initiatives.
• Coordinate with the Group Data Protection function to ensure alignment with global standards.
• Provide Data Protection support and guidance to selected international markets.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of privacy frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Advise stakeholders on Data Protection matters and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Legal background, preferably with expertise in Swiss and/or EU law.
• Specialisation in Data Protection and Privacy matters.
• Strong understanding of Swiss FADP and EU GDPR frameworks.
• Ability to advise on Data Protection and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Fluent in English.
• Resident of Switzerland or Liechtenstein.
