Legal Counsel

About the role

MatexLab, an international medical aesthetics company founded in 2012 behind the Neauvia brand, is looking for a Legal Counsel to support the Group Head of Legal & Compliance. The role covers day-to-day legal and compliance matters across the Group and advises the business and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate agreements such as distribution, licensing, manufacturing, services, intercompany, IT and R&D contracts
• Prepare and maintain corporate documents, including powers of attorney, board and shareholder resolutions and meeting minutes
• Provide day-to-day legal support to business and operations teams, coordinating with the Group Head of Legal & Compliance
• Coordinate with external counsel and other advisors, including on disputes and local legal requirements
• Assist with the management of the Group's trademark and patent portfolios
• Help develop, update and implement compliance policies, including sanctions, anti-bribery and data protection
• Support internal audits, investigations and follow-up actions
• Prepare practical guidance and help train employees on legal and compliance matters
• Maintain legal records and track contractual obligations, renewals and key deadlines

Required profile

• Law degree from a European jurisdiction; an LL.M. is a plus
• Prior experience in a similar role
• Experience in the medical devices and/or pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred
• Fluent English; French or another European language is a plus

Required skills

• Strong drafting and negotiation skills in English, especially for commercial agreements
• Ability to coordinate with internal teams and external counsel and follow assignments through to completion
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
• Proficiency with common computer programs, including MS Office
