Legal Director – EMEA (Corporate Law)

About the role

Restaurant Brands International is seeking a Legal Director for the EMEA region to join its corporate legal team in Zug. The role will support the company’s four global quick‑service restaurant brands by providing expert transactional advice and ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, negotiate and finalize a variety of legal agreements, including franchise, development, investment and letter agreements.
• Support franchise disclosure and registration requirements in line with applicable laws.
• Coordinate and obtain legal opinions from local counsel across EMEA jurisdictions.
• Deliver regular training on corporate, franchising and other legal matters.
• Assist business teams with day‑to‑day legal queries, drafting letters, interpreting documents and updating contract templates.
• Review and approve advertising, promotional and marketing materials for legal compliance.
• Negotiate marketing and promotions‑related agreements together with external counsel.
• Perform other general legal duties as required by business needs.

Required profile

• Fully qualified lawyer admitted to practice in Singapore, the United States, England & Wales, Switzerland, or a comparable jurisdiction.
• Minimum six years of transactional legal experience, preferably within a corporate or franchising environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and external law firms across multiple countries.

• Experience drafting and negotiating franchise, development, investment and marketing agreements.
• Ability to coordinate legal opinions and advice from local counsel in diverse jurisdictions.
