Logistics Officer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Logistics Officer to join our friendly and dynamic team. In this role you will coordinate international shipments across multiple countries and continents, working with diverse stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of goods while complying with customer and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for suppliers, customers, traders, warehouses, inspectors, shipping lines and other service providers.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, customer specifications and applicable regulations, including sustainability certifications such as EUDR.
• Monitor contract positions and support accurate shipment planning.
• Oversee product quality throughout the shipment process and address potential issues proactively.
• Coordinate movement of goods from origin to destination countries.
• Negotiate logistics costs and service agreements.
• Arrange and book international transportation and track shipments end‑to‑end.
• Handle cargo insurance issuance and follow‑up.
• Prepare and manage shipping documentation, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
• Identify and escalate operational risks, proposing practical solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in logistics, supply chain or international trade.
• Experience or knowledge in commodity trading, especially cocoa or coffee, is a strong asset.
• Familiarity with trade documentation such as Bills of Lading and Certificates of Origin is a plus.
• Team player with a self‑starter mindset, highly motivated and eager to learn.
• Open‑minded, autonomous, detail‑oriented and able to work in fast‑paced environments.
• Fluent in English and French; Spanish is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Agiboo or similar commodity trade management systems.
