Manager, Audit & Assurance Insurance

About the role

Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance team in Zurich is seeking a Manager to lead finance transformation and audit projects for insurance clients. The role blends internal control advisory, external audit, and regulatory compliance, supporting both national and international insurers.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on implementing internal control frameworks and finance transformation initiatives.
• Lead external audit engagements for insurance and re‑insurance companies, ensuring compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, Swiss GAAP FER and other relevant standards.
• Assist clients in integrating new regulatory requirements, including FINMA assignments, into daily operations.
• Conduct internal audits and regulatory reviews for insurance and re‑insurance firms.
• Support return‑to‑work candidates with tailored coaching and knowledge refreshers.

Required profile

• Certified auditor (Swiss CPA, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 5 years of experience in financial reporting for the insurance sector.
• Minimum 5 years of external audit experience in insurance (preferably Big 4) or 6 years in an insurance accounting/reporting function.
• Strong teamwork orientation and ability to build client relationships.
• Fluent in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
