Manager, Corporate Communications & Thought Leadership

About the role

Join PMI to drive its corporate communications and thought‑leadership agenda. You will shape how the company and its senior executives articulate points of view on priority themes and emerging conversations, ensuring clear, credible and differentiated positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Define and continuously evolve PMI’s thought‑leadership agenda by identifying priority themes, white‑space opportunities and emerging conversations.
• Translate business strategy and future direction into compelling, externally relevant corporate positioning.
• Develop high‑impact external content such as speeches, op‑eds, points of view, briefing materials and long‑form thought‑leadership pieces.
• Shape senior‑leader messaging for interviews, panels and strategic speaking opportunities, ensuring alignment with corporate positioning.
• Prepare and support high‑stakes external engagements, including briefing packs, Q&A frameworks and narrative testing using AI tools.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Executive Communications, Partnerships & Content and Business Integrated Communications to maintain coherence and authority.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate communications, public affairs or thought‑leadership roles, preferably within a consumer‑goods or regulated industry.
• Strong ability to craft clear, credible and differentiated messaging for senior executives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of producing speeches, op‑eds and long‑form content.
• Strategic mindset to align communication initiatives with business objectives.

Required skills

• Advanced writing and editing proficiency.
• Experience using AI‑enabled research or content‑generation tools.
