Managing Counsel, Commercial - Partnerships

About the role

We are seeking a Managing Counsel, Commercial – Partnerships to join our fast‑growing technology company in Switzerland. The senior lawyer will shape and negotiate high‑impact partnership agreements, supporting embedded services, reseller channels and strategic alliances across global markets. Working remotely within a collaborative, globally distributed legal team, you will balance legal risk with commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex partnership agreements, including embedded services, reseller, referral and channel contracts.
• Provide strategic legal advice on enterprise‑level SaaS transactions and commercial deals in international markets.
• Collaborate with partnerships, sales, finance, product and go‑to‑market teams to enable business growth while mitigating risk.
• Develop and maintain legal templates, negotiation playbooks and scalable contracting processes.
• Support regional commercial operations in EMEA by reviewing and negotiating sales agreements as needed.
• Advise on data‑protection considerations related to partnership structures.
• Deliver legal training and practical guidance to business stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives within the legal function.

Required profile

• Qualified legal professional with extensive experience in commercial law, partnerships and technology‑related agreements.
• Proven track record negotiating embedded services, reseller, referral and channel partnership contracts.
• Strong background supporting enterprise SaaS transactions and complex commercial negotiations.
• Excellent drafting skills and ability to create clear, scalable contractual frameworks.
• Deep understanding of GDPR and broader data‑protection principles.
