Manufacturing Engineer – Production & Continuous Improvement

About the role

ANAVIA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations, ensure new products are manufacturable, and drive continuous improvement across our VTOL system manufacturing processes. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to develop and optimise production methods while providing technical support on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings and give feedback to optimise designs for production (DFM).
• Design, implement and refine manufacturing processes, tools and equipment for new and existing products.
• Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions and training material.
• Train and mentor production staff on new processes and equipment.
• Prepare performance reports and drive metric‑based improvements.
• Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations and apply Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Collaborate with the quality team to resolve quality issues.

Required profile

• Higher education in engineering (e.g., ETH, HTL) with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of production and assembly processes, preferably in the aviation sector.
• Technical understanding of complex mechanical, mechatronic and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as Creo or SolidWorks.
• Process‑oriented, structured work methods and good English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 25 % of working time.
