Manufacturing Engineering Manager

About the role

As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Parker Meggitt in Fribourg, you will lead a technical team that creates, maintains and optimises production processes for aerospace and energy systems. You will ensure high‑quality output, cost efficiency and safety compliance while collaborating with multiple internal functions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a high‑performing engineering team through recruitment, onboarding, goal setting, coaching and performance reviews.
• Translate plant objectives into a clear Manufacturing Engineering roadmap, assign owners and track milestones to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Define and sustain standard engineering practices, train teams and harmonise methods across lines to improve consistency and reduce risk.
• Lead tier meetings, KPI reviews and escalation routines to align stakeholders and ensure fast decisions.
• Govern problem‑solving and continuous improvement using A3/8D methods, removing roadblocks and validating actions to reduce scrap, improve FPY/OEE and stabilise processes.
• Enforce robust process control and compliance through documentation discipline, audit readiness and change‑control governance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to translate strategic goals into actionable roadmaps.
• Excellent communication skills across safety, quality, production, finance, supply chain, R&D and other functions.
