Mechanical Designer – High Voltage Bushings

About the role

Join a dynamic team at the forefront of high‑voltage technology, designing custom‑engineered bushings that meet demanding performance and safety standards. As a Mechanical Designer you will own the development of customer‑specific solutions, work with advanced CAD tools, and ensure designs are manufacturable and cost‑effective.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design high‑voltage bushings according to customer specifications.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, bills of materials and master data in SAP.
• Apply dimensional, form and positional tolerances and ensure compliance with technical specifications.
• Optimize existing designs for efficiency, manufacturability and quality.
• Lead small development projects or tool‑improvement initiatives independently.
• Support continuous improvement of processes and products.

Required profile

• Completed training as a design engineer (EFZ) or equivalent qualification.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in mechanical or product design.
• Independent, reliable and solution‑oriented working style.
• High level of initiative and sense of responsibility.
• Very good German language skills; English is a plus.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of 3D design, preferably with Creo (PTC).
• Experience using SAP for product data management.
• Proficiency in mechanical design principles and tolerancing.
