Mechanical Engineering Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the mechanical development of our humanoid robots. You will design hardware while growing a high‑performing team and collaborating closely with electronics, robotics and production groups.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a best‑in‑class mechanical engineering team covering structures, housings, joints, actuator integration, thermal management and cable routing.
• Translate product and system needs into clear objectives, milestones and delivery plans together with Product Owners.
• Own the mechanical roadmap, partner with the Tech Lead on architecture and engineering decisions.
• Drive hiring, onboarding, performance management and career development while fostering a healthy culture.
• Collaborate with electronics, firmware, QA, product, systems, manufacturing and supply‑chain to deliver production‑ready hardware.
• Define and improve CAD/PDM standards, design guidelines, prototyping, validation methods and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Proven people‑leadership experience as a Team Lead, Engineering Manager or Tech Lead with coaching and career development responsibilities.
• Strong hands‑on mechanical engineering background with experience in concept‑to‑series‑production projects.
• Ability to lead through influence, facilitate technical discussions and align stakeholders without micromanaging.

Required skills

• 3D CAD (experience with NX is a plus) and CAD/PDM systems.
• Technical drawing creation, tolerance analysis, material selection and BOM management.
• Prototyping, manufacturing processes, engineering change processes and technical documentation.
