About the role
Join Roche's Medicinal Chemistry department in Basel as an intern and work on real drug discovery projects. You will synthesize novel small‑molecule candidates and deepen your knowledge of medicinal chemistry through a dedicated tutorial program.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute synthetic routes for novel small‑molecule candidates in live projects.
- Apply purification technologies and characterize compounds using state‑of‑the‑art analytical methods.
- Present research findings in oral presentations and poster sessions.
Required profile
- High‑performing chemistry student (Bachelor or Master) expecting a first‑class degree.
- Motivated to contribute to healthcare innovation and work in an international, English‑speaking environment.
Required skills
- Synthetic organic chemistry techniques.
- Purification technologies (e.g., chromatography).
- Small‑molecule synthesis and handling.
