Mobile Communications Engineer 5G/LTE

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Communications Engineer to join a long‑term project in Bern. The role focuses on the Mobile Access Service, covering LTE and 5G technologies, within a DevSecOps‑driven operational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure continuous operation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of the Mobile Access Service.
• Handle incident, change, deployment, and capacity processes for critical mobile services.
• Support DevSecOps operations and drive continuous development of the service.
• Work in an agile, DevSecOps‑oriented team and act as Deputy Fleet Manager to guarantee high‑quality service delivery.
• Develop and optimise network connections, and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate on process, tool, and method improvements in an agile environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operating, maintaining, and evolving mobile services and systems.
• Strong knowledge of mobile communication architectures, especially LTE and/or 5G.
• Experience with network connections, protocols, and connectivity management.
• Hands‑on experience with incident, change, deployment, and capacity management.
• Background in DevSecOps and operation of critical services.
• Ability to contribute to design and further development of mobile services.
• Experience integrating mobile devices (Android, iOS, Windows, Linux) and maintaining operational documentation.
• German language proficiency at C1 level or higher.
