MRO/Indirect Procurement Manager

About the role

The MRO/Indirect Procurement Manager will lead Celanese’s global category for Process and Heat Transfer Equipment and oversee European on‑site Packaging and Warehouse Services. Reporting as an individual contributor, the role is accountable for sourcing activities at the Meyrin site and for managing a $100 million indirect spend portfolio across the company’s manufacturing locations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for the global MRO and indirect spend portfolio, targeting cost reduction and value creation.
• Partner with corporate and plant stakeholders to align procurement initiatives with operational requirements.
• Leverage spend analytics and vendor segmentation to identify high‑impact opportunities and build a pipeline of sourcing projects.
• Negotiate and manage commercial contracts, applying Total Cost of Ownership principles to optimize cost, service level and supplier performance.
• Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with strategic suppliers and act as escalation point for performance issues.
• Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, ethical standards and governance procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain or a customer‑facing role within the chemical or materials industry.
• Proven track record of delivering cost savings and managing complex sourcing projects.
• Fluency in German and willingness to travel across Europe.
