Multi‑project Manager (80‑85%) – Federal IT Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced multi‑project manager to lead three parallel medium‑sized IT projects for the federal government. The role combines traditional and agile methods, using the HERMES methodology, and focuses on delivering application replacements, architectural realignment, and an electronic records management initiative by the end of 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Overall management of three concurrent IT projects in a multi‑project environment.
• Plan, control and implement projects using HERMES, Scrum, SAFe or other agile approaches.
• Ensure adherence to schedule, budget, quality, risk and deliverables.
• Lead internal sub‑project managers, project teams and external suppliers.
• Produce and maintain project plans, status reports, phase reports and decision documents.
• Report to clients and coordinate with program and portfolio managers.
• Utilise the federal SAP portfolio controlling tool for project controlling.
• Manage stakeholders, communication, procurement and supplier agreements.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration or similar.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a project manager on complex IT projects.
• Proven ability to manage several IT projects simultaneously.
• Valid HERMES Advanced certificate (v5 or later) and at least one PMP, PRINCE2 or IPMA certification.
• Experience in the public sector and with electronic records management (GEVER, Acta Nova) is a plus.
• Strong German language skills and French at B1 level or higher.
