Ocean Manager

About the role

Expeditors is seeking an experienced Ocean Manager to lead its seafreight department in Kloten. You will be responsible for driving productivity, profitability and compliance across ocean logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop positive relationships with assigned accounts through proactive communication.
• Prepare, execute, monitor and regularly update the department’s business plan.
• Ensure compliance and quality for the ocean product and meet productivity and profitability goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and implement system enhancements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of leadership experience in the Ocean Freight department of a freight forwarder.
• Effective interpersonal skills with ability to relate to customers and employees at all levels.
• Professional oral and written communication skills in English and native language; fluency in German is mandatory.

Required skills

• Fluency in English and German.
• Leadership experience in ocean freight operations.
