Offshore Nurse – Guyana

About the role

This position is the on‑site medical authority for an offshore operation in Guyana, responsible for clinical assessment, emergency stabilization, patient management and medical evacuation coordination. The role ensures clinic readiness, regulatory compliance and close collaboration with client EHS and operations teams while promoting workforce health and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the on‑board clinic, assist the doctor and maintain crew welfare.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, examinations and ongoing patient monitoring.
• Lead medical response during emergencies and coordinate medevac and patient transfers.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records using RMI EHR systems.
• Ensure clinic readiness, including equipment, medicines and consumables; perform regular equipment checks and controlled substance management.
• Report medical treatments, case classifications and notifiable diseases per client and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with client EHS, operations teams and global medical coordination centres.
• Conduct workforce medical inductions, fit‑to‑work assessments and health surveillance.
• Administer drug & alcohol screening, immunisation programmes, first‑aid training and emergency drills.
• Ensure compliance with RHCP Guidelines, RCM, MERP, FOM and project Scope of Work requirements.

Required profile

• Valid Guyana Nursing Licence.
• BOSIET certification.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• ACLS certification.
• OEUK medical certification.
