Onsite IT Support Field Technician – Zurich

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Onsite IT Support Field Technician to join AVASO Technology in Zurich. The role involves delivering fast, reliable desktop and network support to internal users, both on‑site and remotely, ensuring smooth operation of their IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site and remote desktop support, resolving hardware, software and network incidents.
• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals and related software.
• Deploy operating systems, updates and software packages using imaging tools.
• Perform routine system audits, keep systems secure and up‑to‑date.
• Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot, escalate and close tickets efficiently.
• Deliver end‑user training and produce technical documentation as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in desktop or end‑user support.
• Strong communication skills in English and Swiss German.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician.

• Active Directory, group policies and user management.
• Remote desktop tools and troubleshooting techniques.
• Networking fundamentals – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Hardware diagnostics, repair and replacement.
• System imaging and deployment tools (SCCM, MDT).
• ITIL incident, problem and change management processes.
• Cloud productivity suites – Microsoft 365, Google Workspace.
• IT security best practices.
