Onsite IT Support Technician – Basel

About the role

AVASO Technology is looking for an experienced Onsite IT Support Technician to join its Basel team. You will provide desktop and network support to end‑users, both on‑site and remotely, ensuring reliable IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site and remote desktop support for users, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network‑related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, laptops, and peripherals.
• Ensure deployment of operating systems, updates, and software packages.
• Work with the IT team to resolve and escalate issues as needed.
• Perform routine system audits and ensure systems are up‑to‑date and secure.
• Provide end‑user training and technical documentation where necessary.
• Collaborate with team members and manage support tickets for various internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in desktop support or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Active Directory, group policies and security.
• Proficiency with remote desktop tools and troubleshooting techniques.
• Understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
• Good command of MS Office Suite and other productivity software.
• Ability to diagnose, repair and replace hardware components.
• Familiarity with system imaging and deployment tools (e.g., SCCM, MDT).
• Knowledge of ITIL incident, problem and change management processes.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues to non‑technical users.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• B2 level proficiency in German and English.
