Operations Director – Neuchâtel Operations Center

About the role

Focuslight Technologies is looking for an experienced Operations Director to lead the Neuchâtel Operations Center. The role combines hands‑on industrial leadership with a global mindset, ensuring operational excellence while building a high‑performing local team within an international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations of the Neuchâtel site, delivering against business objectives and operational KPIs.
• Define and execute the site’s operational strategy, continuous‑improvement agenda, and cost‑management initiatives.
• Own performance metrics including delivery, quality, efficiency and cost.
• Develop and inspire a multicultural team, strengthening local leadership and creating a sustainable talent pipeline.
• Champion Focuslight’s culture and values, ensuring they are embedded in daily operations and global collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial operations or manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Industrial Management, Manufacturing or a related field.
• Proven track record of leading operational transformation and building organizational influence.
• Strong global mindset and cross‑cultural leadership experience, preferably in a multinational industrial company.
• Experience in high‑precision sectors such as photonics, precision optics, semiconductors or micro‑technology is an advantage.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
