Part-Time Music Teacher

About the role

The International School of Ticino is looking for an enthusiastic Part‑Time Music Teacher to join the secondary school team from August 2026. You will inspire students across the IB programmes, helping them develop musical knowledge, performance skills and creativity.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Music to secondary‑level students, including IB curriculum where appropriate.
• Plan and deliver engaging, practical, student‑centred lessons.
• Develop students' musical understanding, performance abilities and creative expression.
• Prepare learners for concerts, performances and other musical events.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to Music department curriculum development.
• Support extracurricular ensembles and school‑wide performing‑arts initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues and engage positively with parents and the wider community.
• Uphold safeguarding and child‑protection procedures at all times.

Required profile

• A degree in Music or a related field.
• A recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Music at secondary level.
• Strong practical musicianship and subject knowledge.
• Excellent communication and classroom‑management abilities.
