Partner & Head of Fintech

About the role

Lindemann Law seeks a Partner & Head of Fintech to build and lead its fintech legal practice in Zurich. The role combines strategic advisory, regulatory compliance, and business development for high‑profile entrepreneurs and financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance on Swiss and international fintech regulations, including licensing with FINMA and other authorities.
• Advise on payment services (PSD2), e‑money, crowdfunding, tokenisation, blockchain, crypto‑assets and DeFi models.
• Ensure client compliance with AML/KYC, data protection (GDPR, revised FADP) and cybersecurity requirements.
• Draft, review and negotiate fintech contracts, partnership, joint‑venture and financing agreements.
• Develop business development strategies, thought‑leadership content and represent the firm at industry events.
• Mentor junior lawyers, oversee quality standards and achieve billing targets.

Required profile

• Swiss bar admission with a first‑class law degree (Master’s or PhD); additional business or financial law studies are a plus.
• 10+ years of senior legal experience in fintech, banking or asset management, preferably at partner level.
• Established client network and ability to attract new mandates.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and client‑first mindset.
