About the role
Skydio is the world leader in autonomous flight and is looking for a PhD‑level Autonomy Engineer Intern to work on computer vision and deep‑learning algorithms that power its drones. You will join a world‑class research team, own a project end‑to‑end, and help translate cutting‑edge research into real products.
Key responsibilities
- Enable rapid research and development of intelligent autonomous systems.
- Research, prototype, and assess feasibility of new computer‑vision and deep‑learning approaches.
- Design and implement new features that expand drone capabilities for users.
- Characterize and quantify performance of core software and hardware components.
Required profile
- High proficiency in C++ and/or Python and PyTorch.
- Strong enthusiasm for computer vision, deep learning, motion planning, dynamics & controls, 3D graphics, or distributed systems.
- Solid software‑engineering foundation with a focus on clean, well‑architected code.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative small‑team environment.
