Pipe Fitter / Metalworker (80-100%)

About the role

Lonza is seeking qualified Pipe Fitters / Metalworkers for its Visp site. The role involves measuring, fabricating and installing complex piping systems and support structures in an industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Measure, fabricate and install complex piping systems and support structures cost‑effectively.
• Prepare isometric drawings and piping spool assemblies according to technical specifications.
• Plan and organise work based on P&ID flow diagrams for projects and plant modifications.
• Apply PED directives and adhere to internal piping classes, plant standards and quality‑assurance requirements.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training as a technician in piping construction, pipefitting, heating or plumbing installation.
• Several years of professional experience as a pipefitter or piping preparator/fabricator (advantageous).
• Willingness to pursue continuous professional development and work independently or within a team.
• Good command of German (written and spoken); English skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Measurement, fabrication and installation of industrial piping systems.
