Placement Analyst – Investment Banking (Zurich)

About the role

Citi is looking for motivated Placement Analysts to join its Investment Banking team in Zurich for a 4‑6 month placement starting January 2027. You will work on live transactions, gaining hands‑on experience in mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and securities underwriting.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse company‑specific information, conduct industry research and organise financial data.
• Build and maintain financial models, including valuations, DCF analysis and comparative analyses.
• Prepare new‑business presentations that communicate strategic insights to clients.
• Coordinate tasks with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project execution.
• Prepare internal documentation in line with control and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Final‑year university student or recent graduate with a UK 2:1 equivalent or Swiss Grade 5+.
• Strong interest in business and the financial industry with proven academic achievement.
• Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
• Proactive, curious and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
• Commitment to high ethical standards and personal development.
