Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer in Entrepreneurship

About the role

The Chair of Entrepreneurship and Technology Commercialization and the Entrepreneurship Education Hub at EPFL are inviting applications for a full-time postdoctoral position in Entrepreneurship. The duration is one year, with the possibility of a one-year extension by mutual agreement; the start date is flexible, up to January 2027. You will join the Chair, led by Prof. Marc Gruber, in the College of Management of Technology.

Key responsibilities

• Develop your own research agenda and collaborate with Prof. Gruber and the Chair's researchers on ongoing projects
• Work closely with Dr. Davide Bavato, head of the Entrepreneurship Education Hub, which is building a structured curriculum of entrepreneurship classes for science and engineering students
• Shape the Hub's development through course delivery and the design and coordination of educational programs
• Teach two courses (one per semester), about 40 lecture hours per semester

Required profile

• Ph.D. completed or close to completion in entrepreneurship, technology and innovation management, strategy or a related management field
• Evidence of rigorous and original research
• Ability to teach effectively in English to science and engineering students
• Motivation to contribute to a collaborative research group and to entrepreneurship education at EPFL
• Main instructor experience is welcome but not required
