Preventive Maintenance Technician (m/w/d)

About the role

Mondelēz International is looking for a Preventive Maintenance Technician (m/w/d) in Bern. As an expert you will master the processes and equipment and lead the planning, development and implementation of planned maintenance elements in a continuous improvement manufacturing environment, managing teams of technical and non-technical staff, support contractors and operations personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with line leaders to deliver the SQCDSM targets (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability and Morale) and ensure process stability
• Take part in daily management system meetings at shift and line level
• Own the technology, process and centerline settings of the equipment, and the progressive maintenance systems, KPIs and repair and maintenance budget of the line
• Develop, own and run preventive and time-based maintenance systems and plans, and train technicians so they can operate and maintain their own equipment
• Lead some maintenance systems at department level and partner with the Asset and Reliability team on special maintenance tasks
• Handle change management on the line, spare parts localization, breakdown analysis and R&M cost reduction
• Act as the site technology owner in regional and global technology forums, support the VSU team, and help with internal and external benchmarking
• Serve as subject matter expert on one component category and train colleagues on PM topics

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of autonomous maintenance (AM) step 4 and progressive maintenance step 3, and ability to maintain dedicated equipment independently
• Ability to lead a line role, qualify and coach the next level of SWP owners, and drive opportunities across the line using PDCA
• Ability to act as line leader, develop goal and master plans, deploy IDPs and coach team members on performance and career development
