Process Engineer – Digital Manufacturing

About the role

The Process Engineer supports Industry 4.0 manufacturing projects across Jabil’s Hägendorf, Balsthal and Tuttlingen sites, focusing on MES implementation, data acquisition and continuous improvement to shape the Factory of the Future.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and deploy MES portfolio, including master data, recipes, workflows and test work orders for production go‑live.
• Support migration from BabtecQ CAQ to Critical Manufacturing CAQ and manage related system changes.
• Provide MES shop‑floor support, hyper‑care, user guidance and issue escalation post‑implementation.
• Maintain compliance by troubleshooting MES issues, performing root‑cause analysis and defining work‑arounds.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Planning and IT to align MES activities with business needs.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Bachelor required, Master preferred) in a relevant field.
• 0‑5 years experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices.
• Strong affinity for data analysis and continuous improvement.
• Fluent business communication in English and German.

Required skills

• MES implementation experience (design, configuration, testing, deployment).
• Knowledge of CAQ systems (Critical Manufacturing, BabtecQ).
• Proficiency with SAP and other ERP/PLM tools.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and digital tooling skills.
• Understanding of manufacturing technologies (CNC, heat treatment, injection molding, etc.).
