Process Expert - Compounding & Support (80-100%)

About the role

Lonza is hiring a Process Expert for its compounding and support function in Stein, canton of Aargau, Switzerland. This is a fully site-based role, 80-100% on site, working in person with a collaborative, proactive and diverse team. You will drive process excellence across compounding operations, support operators with technical expertise, lead deviations and investigations, and run validation and qualification activities while keeping inspections ready. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve aseptic compounding processes, using GMP manufacturing experience to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations.
• Provide hands-on technical support to operators, troubleshoot process issues and drive deviations, investigations and corrective actions.
• Execute and support validation and qualification activities, including preparing, reviewing and maintaining the relevant GMP documentation.
• Keep equipment and processes inspection-ready, support internal and external audits, and share expertise in sterile manufacturing environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Life Sciences discipline (Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry).
• Hands-on experience in aseptic/sterile manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing, with a strong understanding of quality, compliance and documentation requirements.
• Fluent English and conversational German (B1 level or above).
• Proactive, reliable team player comfortable with ambiguity and flexible priorities.

Required skills

• Experience in qualification and validation activities is a strong advantage.
• Experience with GMP washers, sterilization processes, thawing and compounding is an advantage.
