Procurement Category Manager – Supplier Negotiation & Strategic Procurement

About the role

This is a site‑based, commercially focused position within a leading international manufacturing organisation. The role centres on managing global procurement categories, negotiating with suppliers and delivering measurable cost savings in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned global procurement categories and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Lead commercial negotiations to achieve cost‑reduction targets and secure competitive terms.
• Conduct RFQs, benchmark pricing against market conditions and ensure continuity of supply.
• Identify new supplier opportunities and monitor market trends, pricing and supply‑chain risks.
• Drive supplier performance improvements across cost, quality and delivery.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute category and sourcing strategies.
• Deliver measurable procurement savings and business value.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, category management, commodity management or strategic sourcing.
• Strong negotiation track record with measurable cost‑saving results.
• Experience managing direct or raw‑material spend in a manufacturing setting.
• Commercially minded with the ability to influence suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Fluent English.
