Production Engineering Technician

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Production Engineering Technician to join our industrial engineering team in the Heerbrugg region. You will support serial production, maintain system data, and ensure the reliability of production equipment in a high‑precision optronic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously maintain, update, and manage user‑specific system data during production runs.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronics and software of production equipment, collaborating closely with the development team on enhancements.
• Design and build simple electronic assemblies and software components for use in the production floor.
• Manage production IT infrastructure, including software updates, new installations, computer setups, and backups.
• Perform systematic fault analysis, optimize software based on production feedback, and document calibrations.

Required profile

• Completed technical vocational training as an electronics technician, automation technician, or comparable qualification.
• Initial solid professional experience in a similar industrial role, preferably in production or equipment technology.
• Excellent German language skills and good written and spoken English.
