Production Planner

About the role

Jet Aviation is seeking a proactive Production Planner to join its Manufacturing Planning Department in Basel. You will be at the centre of the production process, creating and monitoring production orders, coordinating material flow and ensuring that aircraft completion projects are delivered on schedule and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and verify production orders using the manufacturing bill of material, defining raw materials, work centres and labour effort.
• Manage purchasing requisitions and material planning, accounting for waste, supply constraints and on‑time delivery.
• Release and coordinate production orders in line with project schedules and shop capabilities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain and Production teams to meet precise production timelines.
• Evaluate in‑house production versus outsourcing to optimise efficiency.
• Track purchase orders, identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Implement Engineering Change Notes and revisions smoothly.
• Continuously improve MRP tools and processes.

Required profile

• Technical certificate or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, production or a related field.
• Strong ability to read technical drawings and familiarity with aviation regulations.
• Experience working with PDM/PLM systems and 3D CAD tools.
• Knowledge of SAP modules, particularly MM and PP.
