Project Manager / RTE & Scrum Master

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager who will also act as Release Train Engineer (RTE) and Scrum Master to lead the delivery of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) in a regulated GxP environment. The role combines programme delivery, agile coaching and cross‑team coordination across Basel, the US and India.

Key responsibilities

• Own the delivery plan across multiple parallel teams from current state through MVP and subsequent releases.
• Drive PI‑level planning, manage cross‑team dependencies and resolve blockers before they impact the critical path.
• Maintain a RAID log with clear owners, deadlines and recommendations.
• Enforce scope discipline through a structured requirements intake and triage process.
• Lead release management: develop and maintain a release calendar, coordinate development, QA and operations, and conduct post‑implementation reviews.
• Serve as Scrum Master for three delivery teams: facilitate sprint ceremonies, shield teams from disruptions, coach agile practices and track sprint health.
• Facilitate Scrum of Scrums, PO sync and dependency resolution sessions across five delivery teams.
• Manage the Jira ALM project structure as the single source of truth and ensure consistent Jira hygiene.
• Provide transparent program status reporting to leadership and manage stakeholder expectations around MVP scope.

Required profile

• 7+ years of project management experience in software delivery, including 3+ years managing programmes with multiple parallel teams.
• Proven Scrum Master experience with effective retrospectives and coaching.
• Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences background with hands‑on GxP and inspection readiness knowledge.
• Strong hands‑on experience configuring and managing Jira projects; Xray test management preferred.
• Experience with scaled agile frameworks such as SAFe and ability to adapt them.
• Excellent risk, dependency and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading distributed hybrid teams across time zones.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
