Property Development Manager – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

The Property Development Manager will lead the end‑to‑end delivery of PureGym’s new and existing gym sites across Switzerland on a six‑month fixed‑term covering maternity leave, with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multi‑disciplinary team of architects, design managers, quantity surveyors and external specialists to deliver gym development projects on time and within budget.
• Assess high‑level feasibility of potential sites, provide technical evaluations and ensure all budgets and CAPEX approvals are tracked.
• Manage the full development lifecycle from acquisition through opening, securing necessary approvals, consents and health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Oversee third‑party contractors and dependencies, ensuring consistent delivery to design standards and incorporating specialist inputs (mechanical, electrical, acoustics).
• Identify and remove barriers, make key decisions in governance forums and contribute to continuous improvement of gym formats and design standards.

Required profile

• Fluent in German and English.
• Proven project manager with experience delivering multi‑site property developments at scale.
• Strong team leader able to motivate multidisciplinary teams and meet critical milestones.
• Experience in large‑scale, customer‑facing industries such as leisure, hospitality or retail.
• Commercially astute with ability to evaluate investment decisions and negotiate with senior stakeholders.
• Professional qualification in construction project management, quantity surveying, architecture or related field, and degree‑level education.
