Quality Engineer – Bridge Between QA and QC

About the role

Alfa Laval seeks a hands‑on Quality Engineer to act as the primary link between Quality Assurance and Quality Control, working directly on the shop floor and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate daily collaboration between QA and QC teams and ensure alignment on quality objectives.
• Support the management of non‑conformities, corrective actions, and customer claims, including root‑cause analysis.
• Conduct internal and external audits, prepare quality documentation (MDB, ITPs, certificates) and assist with inspections by Notified Bodies.
• Develop and standardise quality tools and processes, and monitor the site’s metrology programme.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• Minimum 5 years of quality‑related experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with operational teams and customers.
• Fluent in English; good command of French; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.
• Familiarity with ATEX and PED regulations (advantageous).
