Recruiting Manager – Basel Office

About the role

The Recruiting Manager is the first point of contact for external talent and shapes candidates’ perception of Viking’s culture and values. Based in the Operational Headquarters in Basel, you will lead end‑to‑end recruitment for office‑based positions, ensuring a high‑quality, inclusive and candidate‑focused hiring process.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for office roles, from sourcing to offer negotiation.
• Design and oversee screening, interview, assessment and selection processes.
• Identify optimisation opportunities and ensure consistency, transparency and compliance throughout the hiring process.
• Drive continuous improvement of recruitment systems and data‑driven metrics.
• Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and selection criteria.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies using internal channels, external agencies and networks.
• Maintain a positive candidate experience and strengthen employer branding.
• Monitor recruitment KPIs and implement process enhancements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on recruitment or talent‑acquisition experience in an international environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Capacity to handle multiple vacancies and priorities simultaneously.
• Familiarity with recruitment systems and KPI‑based hiring processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and administrative competence.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Solution‑oriented mindset with high empathy and professional presentation.
