Regional Coordinator – CITES Tree Species Project (Central & South America, Caribbean)

About the role

The Regional Coordinator will support the launch and implementation of shortlisted CITES Tree Species projects across the Central and South America and Caribbean (CSAC) region. The role involves remote coordination with the CITES Secretariat, mapping planned activities, and ensuring high‑quality outputs in all target countries.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the smooth launch of project implementation in the CSAC region.
• Support the mapping and planning of activities across target countries.
• Deliver high‑quality outputs through electronic communication, emails and online meetings with the CITES Secretariat.
• Participate in field missions and international meetings as required.
• Coordinate travel in line with resource availability, government invitations and CITES travel policy.
• Prepare a final report detailing results, outputs and activities achieved under the projects.

Required profile

• Ability to work remotely and travel to the region when needed.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Experience communicating with international secretariats and stakeholders.
