Regulatory & Public Affairs Officer

About the role

SUISSENÉGOCE, the umbrella association for commodity trading and shipping in Switzerland, is seeking a Regulatory and Public Affairs Officer. The role supports the Secretary General and Executive Board by monitoring governmental and parliamentary activity and shaping lobbying strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a network with key government officials, international and local organisations, and NGOs.
• Monitor Swiss Parliament activities, propose amendments and initiate parliamentary interventions.
• Track Swiss Government actions and draft responses to official consultations.
• Participate in and coordinate internal committees and task forces.
• Represent SUISSENÉGOCE at conferences, working groups and external events.

Required profile

• Fluent in French, German and English (written and spoken).
• Degree in Swiss law, international relations or political science.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong interest in Swiss public affairs and a solid understanding of institutional processes.
• Ability to combine an international outlook with knowledge of local/regional political and regulatory environments.
• Experience in a Swiss political party or economic association is an asset.
• Flexible, multitask‑oriented, reliable, stress‑resilient and a team player.
