Reliability & Performance Manager (80-100%)

About the role

Join the Engineering team at our Visp site and lead the definition, tracking and continuous improvement of engineering performance, reliability and sustainability. You will be responsible for establishing KPIs, analysing maintenance and CAPEX data, and driving sustainability initiatives across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Define, implement and continuously improve engineering KPIs for Maintenance, Plant Engineering, CQV, EI&C, Utilities and Projects.
• Conduct systematic bad‑actor analysis using failure data, maintenance history, deviations and cost drivers.
• Evaluate maintenance strategies (preventive, corrective, runtime) and identify optimisation opportunities to reduce OPEX.
• Review CQV activities and lifecycle performance, ensuring cost‑effective execution while maintaining GMP and quality compliance.
• Analyse asset performance data and translate findings into actionable improvement measures and standards.
• Assess CAPEX performance for engineering projects, identify recurring weaknesses and provide data‑driven insights for prioritisation.
• Define sustainability‑related goals, KPIs and engineering projects in line with site strategy and act as the local interface to the global sustainability program.
• Establish transparent KPI dashboards, drive standardisation, best practices and continuous improvement across engineering processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Automation Engineering (MSc preferred).
• 5–10 years of experience in reliability, performance or maintenance engineering within an industrial environment.
• Proven ability to analyse complex data sets and deliver cost‑effective optimisation recommendations.
• Experience with CAPEX evaluation, KPI development and sustainability initiatives.
