Remote Full Stack Engineer (Contract)

About the role

DevJobsScanner is seeking a contract, remote Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain both front‑end and back‑end features of its developer‑focused job board platform. You will work closely with the founder to shape product direction, ensure high performance, and deliver a seamless experience for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks and CSS.
• Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs and data‑processing pipelines.
• Integrate search, filtering, and salary‑comparison capabilities into the platform.
• Improve scalability, reliability, and overall performance of the application stack.
• Participate in code reviews, write automated tests, and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Collaborate asynchronously with the founder and other stakeholders on product roadmap.

Required profile

• Proven experience building production‑grade web applications end‑to‑end.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent communication skills for code reviews and documentation.

Required skills

• Full‑stack development expertise.
• Modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
• Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for responsive design.
• RESTful API design and implementation.
• Experience with databases and data modelling.
• Server‑side frameworks and backend development.
• Version control with Git.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerisation, and CI/CD pipelines.
