Remote Web Developer – Shopify

About the role

This remote position involves collaborating on international e‑commerce projects, building and customizing Shopify stores for a variety of clients. You will work in a fast‑paced digital agency environment, handling technical tasks independently while maintaining clear communication with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Build and customize Shopify stores from scratch using themes.
• Extend store functionality with clean, maintainable code.
• Install, configure, and optimise Shopify apps to meet client requirements.
• Improve store speed and performance to enhance user experience and conversions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver project requirements.
• Provide ongoing support and enhancements as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing and customizing Shopify stores.
• Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Shopify APIs.
• Experience with theme customization and third‑party app integrations.
• Ability to optimise site speed and performance.
• Solid understanding of e‑commerce UX best practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Familiarity with international e‑commerce standards is a plus.
• Availability for ongoing collaboration and potential full‑time work.
