• Conduct experimental investigations of in‑cylinder processes and hydraulic systems, emphasizing injection behaviour and combustion/emission characteristics.
• Plan, design, and manage measurement campaigns, developing and maintaining test facilities for spray and combustion studies.
• Implement instrumentation, automation, control, and data acquisition solutions for new experimental setups.
• Develop data analysis tools, image‑processing routines, and workflows for measurement data evaluation.
• Prepare technical reports, scientific publications, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor international R&D activities and supervise allocated project personnel such as engineers, trainees, and students.

Required profile

• Minimum Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of internal combustion engines and injection/in‑cylinder processes.
• Experience with laser‑optical experimental techniques and high‑speed imaging is an asset.
• Strong interest in data analysis, image processing, and scientific programming.
• Fluent in English; German is an advantage.
