Research Intern - Executive Search & Leadership Advisory

About the role

Russell Reynolds Associates, a global leadership advisory firm, is looking for a Research Intern to join its global research team in Zurich. The intern supports the firm's clients in identifying, assessing and recruiting top leadership talent, working on knowledge management and on many parts of the search process. This is a paid, full-time internship lasting 6 months, starting in March 2027 upon agreement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct background research to deliver market and client knowledge, such as industry mappings.
• Produce detailed reports on target companies, market sources and candidates for an assignment, and prepare presentations for client pitches.
• Use online and proprietary database search engines to identify high-quality candidates.
• Support consultants with data for intellectual property such as surveys, white papers and other market-facing materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from a respected institution.
• First experience in a business environment is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage credibly with people at all levels of an organisation.
• Excellent writing skills and ability to produce concise, relevant documentation for clients.
• Highly organised, with good time management and prioritisation skills.
• Fluent in English and ideally in German, the office language.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
