Risk & Insurance Manager

About the role

We are establishing a new Group Risk Management team to strengthen oversight of risks, internal controls and insurance protection across Sika worldwide. The Risk & Insurance Manager will lead the design, implementation and administration of global insurance programmes, ensuring optimal coverage and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and mitigate risks through insurance strategies and policy reviews.
• Manage the Group’s insurance programmes (liability, property & business interruption, cyber, D&O, transport) including the captive, coordinating with insurers, brokers and Group companies.
• Optimize insurance processes such as value collection, claims handling and cost allocation.
• Review and negotiate insurance policies, overseeing renewals to align with organisational needs.
• Participate in the operation and development of Sika’s Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Control System.
• Provide insurance and risk‑management advice and support to Group companies.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders including Risk Management, Risk Engineering, local finance teams and external insurance partners.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, business, economics, mathematics or administration.
• 5‑7 years of proven insurance management experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
• Broad understanding of insurance solutions, including captives and alternative risk transfer.
• Knowledge of Swiss insurance regulations.
• Business‑fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong analytical abilities, independent work style and precise attention to detail.
